OUR STUDENTS
Student Leadership
The student leadership plays an integral part of Dudley High School as far as daily school operation is concerned. The student leadership comprises of the Students Council Body that consists of the following groups:
Head boy and Head girl
Deputy Head boy and Deputy Head girl
Senior prefects
Form prefects
The Student Council is looked after by a committee consist of teachers who guide these prefects and empower the leadership skills in them. The student leaders are selected based on their academic performance and excellent discipline record. The student’s council carries out the following activities:
Students supervision
Assist teachers in maintaining good behavior of students
Assist teachers in maintaining good behavior of students
Monitoring of students after school with the help of the teachers
Empower upcoming leaders through mentoring and role modeling
Assist school in organizing events and activities inside and outside school
Dudley High is working towards empowering our student’s leaders in future through more workshops and seminars. The PTFA and DESA also assists in empowering these leaders throughout the year. The student’s council body consists of about 200 members who contribute immensely towards building up a positive image for the school.
A word from the Student Council
“We as Student Council members are privileged to be part of the transformed Dudley High School in 2020. A lot has been achieved within short time and thanks to our Principal Sir for his leadership.
The 2020 theme “Year of Positive Change” has been the benchmark for the school. There is a vast change in student mindset and we have seen lots of positive changes. There is a decrease in student’s indiscipline and students are more academic focused.
The student leaders have been empowered and daily monitoring of students are done in all areas. We have regular meetings with Principal and the student’s council teachers and are always up to date. We also have plans to carry out some projects as student’s council in 2021.

“Dudley High School was not only a school that focuses on a child’s Educational development, the school also specialises in building a strong moral foundation for each and every student that enters its gates. I am a living testimony of the school’s reputation.
Dudley High School has played an essential role in my life through reshaping and moulding my attitude, behaviour, attributes, moral standards and lifestyle. I was blessed to be taught by teachers with diverse culture and ethnicity. Through the teacher’s cultural and ethnic diversity, it inspired me to achieve my short term goals in life through their unity and diverse teaching styles.
Each counselling, each motivational speech and each teachable moment delivered by the teachers was not hindered, it impacted my life’s journey by overcoming most obstacles that I faced. Dudley High Schools foundational beliefs and moral standards were some qualities I have incorporated in me through the guidance of my teachers and principal of my time.
The schools foundational beliefs, moral standards, rules, guidelines and the teacher’s qualities turned Dudley High School into a good learning environment which enabled the students to compete with each other academically.”
